Windows VPS

A Windows desktop that never sleeps

Windows Server 2025 on NVMe storage with full Administrator rights, reachable over Remote Desktop from any machine you happen to be sitting at. Your trading terminal, your bot, your Windows-only application — running while your own computer is off.

  • Windows Server 2025

Prepared with virtio drivers, guest agent and RDP already switched on.

  • Administrator over RDP

The full desktop, from Windows, macOS, Android or Linux.

  • Ready in minutes

The build starts as soon as the invoice clears.

  • NVMe storage

Windows feels different on NVMe. Every plan has it.

Windows VPS plans

Windows wants memory in a way Linux does not, so only plans with at least 2 GB are offered here. Start where you are comfortable — moving up later is a resize and a reboot, not a migration.

Windows plans are being updated. Please check back shortly.

Getting in

Remote Desktop, from whatever you are sitting at

We email the IP address and the Administrator password once the server has built. Open Remote Desktop, paste the address, and the Windows desktop appears in a window — the same desktop, running in the datacentre.

  • WindowsRemote Desktop Connection, already installed
  • macOSWindows App, free from the Mac App Store
  • Android / iOSMicrosoft's Remote Desktop app
  • LinuxRemmina, FreeRDP or any RDP client

Locked yourself out? There is a console in your panel that reaches the machine directly, so a firewall rule that blocks RDP is an inconvenience rather than a rebuild.

What it is for

Things that have to keep running

The common thread is simple: something needs to stay awake when your own computer does not.

Forex and trading terminals

MetaTrader 4 and 5, cTrader and expert advisors, connected around the clock and close to your broker rather than to your electricity supply.

.NET and MSSQL applications

Line-of-business software that expects a Windows machine, IIS and a SQL Server it can reach on localhost.

A remote desktop you keep

One Windows machine you can reach from a laptop, a phone or somebody else's computer, with your files and programs where you left them.

Bots and scheduled jobs

Scrapers, automation and anything on Task Scheduler that has to fire at three in the morning whether you are awake or not.

Testing and staging

A clean Windows box to try an installer on, snapshot before the change, roll back after.

Windows-only software

Accounting packages, ERP clients and licensing servers that have never had a Linux build and never will.

About the Windows licence

The images we keep are prepared and licensed for use on our platform, so there is nothing for you to buy from anybody else before you can start. If your business needs a specific edition, or you hold your own licence and want to bring it, open a ticket and we will tell you plainly whether it can be done.

Included on every Windows plan

Snapshots

Freeze the disk before an update, roll back if it goes badly.

Console access

Straight to the machine when Remote Desktop will not answer.

Rebuild any time

Reinstall Windows, or switch to Linux, in a couple of minutes.

Deletion protection

Lock the server so it cannot be destroyed by a mis-click.

From order to Windows desktop

  1. 01

The IP and Administrator password arrive by email. Open Remote Desktop.

Windows VPS questions

Quick answers before you launch.

Over RDP — Remote Desktop. Windows has the client built in, macOS and Android have a free one from Microsoft, and any Linux desktop can use Remmina. You get the IP address and the Administrator password by email once the server has built, and the desktop opens in a window like any other program.

Windows Server 2025, prepared with the virtio drivers, the guest agent and RDP already switched on. A Windows 11 IoT LTSC image is also available, which is the lighter option people running trading terminals usually want.

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people take one. A trading terminal has to stay connected while your own computer is off, which is exactly what a server is for. Give it at least 2 GB of memory if you plan to run more than a couple of charts.

Yes. It is your machine — install what you like, change what you like, and reboot when you want. We do not log in to it and we do not install anything on it after handover.

Two gigabytes is the sensible floor, and four is comfortable once you have an application running as well as the operating system. Windows will technically install on less and then spend its time swapping, which is why the smaller plans are not offered here.

There is a console in your panel that connects straight to the machine, the same as plugging a monitor into it. A firewall rule that locks out RDP is an inconvenience rather than a rebuild.

Yes. Rebuilding the server with a different image takes a couple of minutes from your panel and costs nothing. It does erase the disk, so take a snapshot first if there is anything on it you want.

Snapshots are yours to take whenever you want, at no charge. Automatic nightly backups are an optional add-on you can switch on at checkout or later.
