A dedicated IP is assigned to you alone. A shared IP is used by up to three customers at once, each with their own credentials. The traffic is separate and the credentials are never shared — but the address, and therefore its reputation, is common. Shared costs roughly 60% less per IP.
No. These are datacenter IPs on nodes we run. That is why we can promise a dedicated IP is genuinely yours and give you a usage record. We do not resell residential or mobile pools.
Provisioning runs the moment payment clears — normally under a minute. If a node is at capacity the order queues with a visible status instead of failing silently.
Yes. It is an upgrade on the existing service, not a new order, so your billing date does not move. You receive a new address because the point of dedicated is that nobody else was ever on it.
